Needs better instructions because it has a sound button on the back that is just for an example, it is not supposed to play sound but it looks like it should so people think the item is defective. You need to unwrap and open door #1 then press the sound button. I think is this why this has received such bad reviews as it is very confusing. I was worried it wouldn’t work but thankfully one review said their’s didn’t work but their daughter opened the first door and pressed the button and it in fact did work. Can’t really give a complete review yet as my daughter only opened door #1 (which was kind of disappointing, no gift, just a recording) but we shall see what the other 24 days are like and then I’ll update my review. My 12 yr old daughter is a big Bob Ross fan and was really surprised there is an Advent calendar with this theme. Hopefully the rest of the days are better than the first.
